With 30+ cruises under my belt as a travel writer I hope this will be helpful. Cruise companies around the world are cost cutting to retrieve cash lost during Covid, and this was blatently obvious on the latest adventure on Marella Discovery 2. Allegedly an "all inclusive" cruise, TUI levied daft charges for small bottles of water, charged for room service, relied on port authorities to provide shuttle services at ports, cut down the menu in the main dining room and substituted part of the entertainment with "virtual acts."

Arrival at Majorca Airport was chaotic. Long walk from the plane to baggage reclaim, then a one hour wait in a long queue for buses to the ship.

Onboard the majority of crew were helpful and excellent, although the reception staff let complaints go in one ear and out the other. Food in the main restaurant was mediocre, with obvious cuts in the menu from our last cruise on this ship. The Kora La Indian restaurant, which carried extra charges was excellent and good value, but the Surf and Turf speciality restaurant offered me half a sausage and a tiny rib as a starter followed by two small fillet steaks as a main course. Tasty but much reduced portions from my last visit, plus a hefty surcharge - enjoyed by many, but in my view not value for money.
