We have been on 8 previous cruises to Alaska and over 25 cruises total with Crystal, Holland America and Oceana. We cruised from Vancouver to Seward and back, so two cruises, I guess.

The two-day pre cruise was at a marginal hotel and there were no offerings of things to do in Vancouver. The transfer to the ship was a 5-hour tour with our luggage on the bus. So, we get to the ship midafternoon but get our bags close to dinner time. Why didn't the bags go from hotel to the ship and be in our stateroom when we got on board? that would have been efficient.

The staff on board was very good, our cabins were as expected, and the food was good. Not impressed by the specialty restaurants nor the "World Cafe" (Lido for other cruise lines). The main dining room was the best.

Cabin Review

Cabin was as expected for the type we booked. The cabin steward(s) were very good and responsive to our few requests.
