Even though we live in Scotland and the on,y stops in Great Britain were in Scotland, We were taking our grandson home to his parents couple days before this cruise so we thought why not . Even though there was five cruise ships in at same time u wouldn’t have known. Everything was seamless, security, getting on ship . Restaurants were open bars were open to welcome guests on . Our room was biggest room I,ve ever had on a cruise ship. Welcoming staff were fantastic, but every member of staff throughout the week was fabulous. They were always happy to see you , look after and help you , ship is beautiful very clean , loads of places to eat every place food was of outstanding quality. Buffet was special not like other cruises I,ve been on , fresh food coming out all the time and the old food disposed of not shoved on top of new food . A special Roast every lunch & dinner different one for each meal . U really have to walk round the whole buffet as it sometimes was right round the whole restaurant and 6 different stations all serving different types of food just like breakfast they always had 6 stations open . Anytime of day at least one buffet station was open . Tea , coffee , juice available free 24/7 only on level 12 . Steak grill up above the deck chairs no lift up to it u only see it from pool deck but at pool bar does food alday , Irish bar does food from 5am till 3am next day with menu changing at different times of day. We went their for breakfast every morning fantastic breakfast no ques and served at your table. The complementary restaurants were beautiful an Asian one and two serving lots of different things. At least 6-7 specials restaurants and at least another 10 bars . If u can get the free at sea package get it . One meal at specialty restaurants practically covers the cost never mind any drink up to $15 is included 150 minutes internet each person and $50 dollars off excursions. We got it for £80 each bargain when a cocktail is $14 each or coke is £4 but I drink a few a day . Internet is very expensive your unlimited data no use on cruise ships neither is your unlimited phone minitues or texts every phones call or text will cost you . If u use internet a lot buy a package but not cheap but cheaper than not buying one . Spa looks lovely but is not advised for disabled people they will not tell you . The spa has nothing to do with the ship the afe a private company who just try to sell sell sell but the thermal spa . Pool area do not sign up unless your fully able u will get in pool but you will hurt yourself on way out ladders are to thin and to close to wall and try and say anything about it. They will give you silver tongue. Same as casino again a private company nothing to do with ship . Shops are ok but very little chocolate or sweets. A shame they had nothing on sale about Scotland considering that was their main destination and most stops . Most passengers seemed to think it was England even Stornaway. Your a few were ridiculous expensive considering they were hardly taking u anywhere. Before u go on cruise look at where ship is stopping and see how much locally you can do trip for . Not tour companies but local taxi companies take four people for price of one and still cheaper for one than one on cruise ships. With local taxi operators the drivers will know more about the area than any cruise company tour operators or tour operators at port side . Take Invergorden we stopped their but only 50 minutes away in taxi u get to the hogworth steam train from Harry Potter but no mention I’m cruise ship and port side operators wanting $200 each to get you their local taxi for four people $120 total return fair . One lady & friends paid $110 each for a trip to Inverness but they had enough seen a local bus advertising Invergorden $2 each . She was fuming so shore excursions are expensive. Also look at where ship is docking it says Paris but it was Le harve 120 miles from Paris do u want to spend 6 hours on a coach see if local fast trains or vist where they have stopped . Do research on where your stopping or ship is going to port as most times not usually place advertise but place in small writing underneath then look at local train stations or what local town is all about. U might think u are safer going on a coach but then coach will wait till everybody turns up and people are always late so u end up sitting around for extra hours.

Laundry few days in u will get a special offer more than 75% off to get your washing etc done look out for it and keep it till u need it u don’t have to use that very next day . Only y problem no signs anywhere when photographing taken place so if u take seizures because of flashing lights or cameras major problem hopefully they will sort this out as I complained after I got caught out and fell down a few stairs broke a few ribs but again while ship operator should have them the photographer should of been asking for them well before now . No point a photographer saying sorry to me after it happened explaining it was his flash of his camera had caused my seizure. Obviously it has happened to him before as he knew exactly what had happened.

Entertainment was a lot of music , singers etc . Shame no proper shows . When u get on cruise ship if u go to theatre it will tell u what is on the whole cruise so it was disappointing to see in the freestyle leaflet u get every day second last day it says back by overwhelming asking by guests on board same act as opening night when it was already advertised before first performance. A few shows were repeated. ,

Cabin Review

Cabin was fantastic, plenty of space, tv has plenty of channels but u have to watch the safety video first after that plenty channels from channel 20 for films new releases before that all channels about what’s on ship .

Not far from lifts or Irish bar
