We have sailed with Princess in the past and our only issue then was the substandard entertainment, everything seemed very short and lacking. Happy to say we've just had 2 weeks on Sky Princess in a full suite (wedding anniversary treat) and it was brilliant.
The suite is an experience in itself, with lots of added extras, extra get togethers and activities that you wouldn't know about before being onboard and in our opinion well worth the value.
Sky is a lovely ship and the speciality restaurants are definitely worth going to. Catch by Rudi is, in our opinion, on of the best restaurants at sea. The MDR on Sky was on some days a little disappointing, some days the menu was what we would describe as odd and didn't really appeal - maybe personal choice. If we went in at a quieter time we found the dining experience felt very rushed, and wasn't the nice relaxed dinner/lunch we are used on on ships. When the restaurant was busy, that was a better and more relaxed experience - again maybe personal preference
First experience of a full suite and we loved it. We had cabin right on the front and the with the sloping ceiling it meant we had a huge bedroom and a stunning view from the front of the ship. The split bathroom with toilet separate is great and loved a shower without a curtain!
Tons and tons of storage space - didn't use half of it.
The balcony is slightly smaller than a penthouse balcony due to location but still bigger than a standard. Lots of added extras with canapes, mini bar (once) bottled water etc and all of these plus the service of a suite experience manager were great.
We also loved the dedicated restaurant for breakfast for suite guests, really relaxed and enjoyable.
Our room attendant was Jenelyn was the best we've had in 6 cruises and hope our paths cross again. If we can ever afford again i wouldn't hesitate in booking a suite
