We were supposed to travel from Oban in Scotland around the outer Hebrides with a crew of four. We never made it. Problems included

- we were told that we had a manager doing a back to the floor exercise as steward for the first three days meaning we had to pick up our actual steward in Portree (delaying our journey). They lied to us. It turned out the steward who was supposed to crew our boat was unavailable meaning we had the manager for three days and then a temporary steward. This led to numerous problems such as not getting our cabins cleaned, no hot drinks at breakfast, having to ask for everything, no service at the bar etc etc

- the engineer was very inexperienced and we did not feel safe in the tender (small boat transferring us to land). At one point the RNLI has to step in to tie us up to the jetty as the engineer and temporary steward were unable to manage it themselves.

Cabin Review

Nice and warm with good heating control. Beds unacceptably hard meaning we had to sleep on top of the duvet. Cabins not cleaned regularly and bathroom was tatty and smelled.
