My wife and I were married in December and chose the Oceana Irish Inspirations cruise for our honeymoon, based upon the brochure descriptions. We live near Phoenix Arizona, and Oceana provided all air transportation and transfers to Belfast, Ireland, the port of departure.

We had to pay in full before flights and our cabin was assigned. When we got our flight itinerary, we were not seated together, and Oceana claimed they could not change the seats. We had to pay extra to the airline to find seats together. Our trip from Phoenix to Dublin had a connection in Toronto, and we literally had to run through the airport to catch our connecting flight. Upon arrival in Dublin, we found that all of our luggage had been lost in Toronto. We arrived at the ship with only the clothes on our backs. Oceana offered a 20% discount at their on board boutique, as compensation for the lost luggage, when they opened later that evening. After a 14 hour trip, we had no clean clothes, toiletries, or personal care items.

Dinner at the buffet was nice, but we were distracted by our frustration. We attended a show that evening, but the talent was mediocre, and the cruise director is loud and obnoxious. Our stateroom was clean, but much smaller than we had expected, and the patio door to the balcony was broken.
