The itinerary seemed both exciting and romantic. Plus, there was no overseas travel involved for us (from Chicago). We were also looking to sail on the Queen Elizabeth. An unexpected bonus was successfully bidding on a Princess Grills cabin. Everything came together even better than we had hoped. We loved the QE and being in the Grills for 14 days was just amazing. The value is clearly there. The ports and excursions were also great. The Insights speakers and the onboard entertainment were the best we have ever experienced. Transiting the Panama Canal was very exciting and very educational. The food in the Grills is amazing. Never had a bad meal or even a bad course. We probably did not choose wisely in scheduling this trip in Aug/Sept as the temps were brutal, especially in the ports. However, selecting the Sail & Snorkel excursion in Cobo and the Cloud Rain Forest hike in Costa Rica were good decisions. It was a great cruise. Well done to the Crew of the QE and to Cunard.
The Princess Grills cabins on the QE are not quite as nice as on the QM2. Basically they are just a longer version of a standard Britannia cabin. Same size balcony. However, they do have a walk in closet area and a full size too/shower. Very nice. The cabin was quiet and in very good condition.
