We took the Emerald Princess for a 7 night Western Caribbean - the following a are a few highlights of our port activities:

Princess Cays: We have been on Princess previously and have done everything that Princess Cays has to offer. It is beautiful, and we enjoy the beach. However, this time we wanted something a little more. We saw that there is a road directly behind the First Aid station - we went through the gate (you have to show your ship card) and went for a jog. This road comes to a dead end and we went to the right. We jogged a bit further, past some abandoned buildings, and the road dead ended into a magnificent deserted beach! We had a full view of the ship, but we were literally the only two people on the beach. The water was great, the view was fabulous, and there were multiple seashells. I brought home 3 beautiful shells from this beach. It is about a 1-2 mile jog. We came back and enjoyed Princess Cays in the afternoon.

Ocho Rios: Ugh! We have been to Dunns River Falls previously and did not see any other excursions that fit our taste. We went shopping for a bit, but didn't feel safe. We returned to the ship and had a great day on the boat reading on our balcony. We won't do another sailing that includes this port.

Quiet, loved the balcony, good location, no problems with ship movement, liked being up high.
