Cabin: Concierge Level Veranda Stateroom

We chose this cruise because it was a brand new ship and we disembarked in Trieste, which Oceania calls "Venice." Through Oceania we arranged private transportation and an air deviation, and we booked a hotel on our own and stayed three nights in Venice at the end of the cruise.

The Vista is a lovely ship with excellent service. Probably due to covid, there seemed to be a staffing shortage in some areas, but overall, the staff did their best to be helpful, kind and pleasant at all times.

We booked a Concierge Level cabin on Deck 10 forward, which was spacious with plenty of drawer and closet space. The closet light, however, seemed to be motion sensitive and on a timer which was programmed for a very short amount of time. In order to keep the light on you had to wave a hand in the air while searching for the clothing you wanted, which we found to be inconvenient. The bathroom was large and well appointed, and we enjoyed the rain shower. Our cabin steward and her assistant provided attentive service, and they kept our room spotless each day.
