Iceland was the reason for selecting this cruise, that and being on the new Celebrity Apex. We went on the Celebrity Edge in December 2018 and loved the ship so this was an easy choice for us. This was our 65th cruise and our 18th on Celebrity.

We thought the cabin decor was beautiful on the Edge and it was so on the Apex. On the Edge we had a sunset veranda but on the Apex an infinity veranda which turned out to be very nice. One thing in comparison to most veranda cabins on other ships was how dark the cabin would be with the motorized shade down. It really blocked out the morning light and gave us a nice dark room for sleeping.

The service on board was top notch, the complimentary restaurants beautiful, easy to get a table and very good food. especially the lamb. We only ate in one specialty restaurant, the Eden, and had a table for two right against the large glass windows looking down directly on the wake. That was spectacular. The food presentation was first class. My wife had the crab cake and steak and I went with a mushroom risotto and salmon.

Cabin Review

Lovely decorated cabin with a nice BR and shower. Our cabin steward was top notch.
