First time sailing with SS (and Silver Moon) but have sailed on about a dozen other cruises including Seabourne and Oceania many times. Silversea, at least in our experience with this particular cruise was by far the best. 10/10. We were highly impressed.
Beautiful new ship, elegant but also contemporary in design, blended the two perfectly. Suite was on par with Seabourne but with much better butler and room attendant service and better food. Staff is both professional and friendly and really got to know us and our preferences. La Dame is worth the extra $60, we went twice during our 10 day cruise. Excursions were good and free which was really nice. Alcohol also free and a fresh bottle of wine was placed in our room every night for my wino husband :). It’s the little things. The small details that distinguishes these high end cruises and SS does not disappoint.
The itinerary around Iceland and to the Faroe Islands was a great way to experience the whole beautiful country in luxury. Iceland you will find out quickly is very expensive (with poor lodging options) so it’s also a more economical and overall better way to see the country in our opinion.
