Viking is an excellent cruise line. We were very satisfied with their service and staff. Everyone was eager to please the guests on the ship. The Program Manager also did an excellent job in coordinating alternative excursion when an original excursion was not possible for either weather or other reasons. It was a pleasure sailing with Viking. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Our favorite town was Passau, Germany and Vienna, Austria. Because of plane delays we were unable to visit Budapest, Hungary, since we arrived a day late. In addition to delays in Air travel, our luggage was lost for three days. Viking personnel found it and it was finally delivered on our third day of cruising. The Viking staff laundered our clothing every day free of charge. (We only had one set of clothing) The food was absolutely wonderful. Many choices were available each day. The entertainment was nice and the program manager did his best to make the cruise for all guests memorable. I will always check with Viking if I anticipate another River or Ocean cruise.
