Taking a Canada/New England Cruise has been on our bucket list and we combined this with a celebration of a major birthday. We started on our own in Niagara falls, then spent a few days in Montreal. I would highly recommend spending some time in Niagara Falls and Montreal prior or after a CA/NE cruise! This is our second cruise on HAL and chose HAL based on an awesome experience we had on a Mediterranean cruise. What do we like about HAL? First we like the classic ship design. I like being on a ship versus on a floating Las Vegas style resort. Second, we thought the service and friendliness of the staff heads above what we have previously experienced on RCL, Carnival, and Celebrity. Third, we think the food on HAL is excellent.
