We are your basic easygoing going traveler. We are not professional cruises by any means We don't cruise but once every couple of years. We read on online all these horror stories about MSC and how cheap it was and how the food sucks, and the staff are awful... blah, blah, blah. We found none of that to be true on the Seascape. I will admit I had some frustration dealing with the group sales office and making the reservation. They don't answer their phone and the staff I was dealing with never called back. (But I think she was fired) Once I got a live person again. They were great and extremely helpful. Anyhow, we thought the food was good. We are not foodies, so our standard are not beyond reality for a large ship. We ate in the dining room three time. (The calamari is really chewy, so don't order that.) We had two specially dining experiences: Sushi one night and the steak house on our last. Both were really delicious too. The steak house for sure is a must eat. Buffet food is good. It not the nightmare eating experience I have read about. Again, we are not picky and we always found something good to fill us up. I would avoid the dry hamburgers and hot dogs. Italians are not good with cooking basic American food. Yes, there were lines and the elevator waits can be long, as to be expected. But dont let that ruin your whole trip. Remember there are 5200 other people on the ship with you. The staff were friendly and kind and the staff we encountered; all spoke conversational English. Our porter was on top of things and very helpful. The ship was clean and feels very modern. Our balcony cabin was very comfortable. It was clean and the wifi worked without issue. The main pool can be a bit crowded at times, but there are other pools available that are a lot quieter and less crowded if you don't want to be near all the action. We had a great time, we danced at night, gambled a little, drank here and there, we had nice dinners and casual night dining too. We took in some shows (FYI, their main shows are definitely not great.) We relaxed by the pools, rode the water slides, and watched a move on the pool deck. We didnt walk on the ship with an expectation that it was going to be nightmare, we walked on with expectation that we were going to have a nice, fun, relaxing vacation... and we did. (And yes, we would book Seascape again)
