Sail Date: Jul 2023
Cabin: Deluxe Stateroom

Our first viking cruise. We previously cruised with Avalon in 2022 in France, plus many ocean cruises. We are younger seniors that enjoy walking and biking.

Positives:

1. Clean, well maintained boat, with ample and comfortable seating at all levels.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom

Our choice of rooms is not the fault of Viking. Some folks in reviews say that lower rooms are fine, since you’re out of your room most of the time. It didn’t work for us with portholes only, as we found the room very stuffy. We like fresh air and open windows at home/car and balcony door jammed open on cruise ships.

We really enjoyed the huge Panorama sliding doors on Avalon. Our whole room wall was open to the water. The balconies and door on Viking looked quite small in comparison.

The Avalon average rooms are probably bigger, they put less rooms on similar size boat.
