This cruise was our retirement gift to each other. We had been looking at Viking for several years, and decided this was the best riverboat cruise line for us. We did put this off a couple of years to make sure that Covid would not interfere. We were not disappointed at all. The crew was the best and were very attentive to our needs and those of the other passengers. Kalin, our cruise director was great!!! Other crew members that made our voyage special were Martin, Hotel Manger, our server Paul, and Viktoria who took care of our room twice daily. The food was excellent and great choices, especially with the German themed night. The excursions were great also. The only thing that might have been a nice touch, was to have a get together in Paris at the hotel to get to know our other passengers. Loved it!!!!!

Also, our booking agent Spencer was the best and helped us through the booking process.

Cabin Review

We chose the French balcony room on the third deck. The room was ample for the needs since we knew we would not be in the cabin for an extended period of time. On days we were cruising, it was nice to open the door and view the countryside.

Also loved the daily Viking newsletter that let us know the excursions and history of the area that we would be visiting the next day.
