We had only 3 days this summer where my husband and I could getaway kid free. This fit us perfectly. We cruise 2-3 times a year on a different cruise line, this was our first new cruise line and first Margaritaville cruise. We went in not knowing what to expect and a lot of experience to compare to. We bought the ultimate license to chill package and it was worth every penny. We basically had an all inclusive weekend with alcohol, massages, steakhouse, bottomless bubbles breakfasts (2), excursion of your choice, wine tasting, souvenirs, Wifi, and so important, priority embarkation and debarkation. We felt like we bought the Diamond level because we got treated like VIPs. The excursion we picked food and alcohol so we had no extra cost there. The boat was clean and decorated really well. You really felt the Margaritaville/Jimmy Buffett vibe. The rooms were actually more spacious than many we have stayed in on the other cruiseline.
There were a couple of cons like a really long old school muster drill. And the food options besides breakfast and dinner is a little lacking. But those are very small items. The pros are so much more.
The food in the steakhouse was one of the best meals I have had anywhere in a long time. The food in the dining room was better quality than what we have gotten lately on the other cruiseline. The breakfasts were very high quality also and they were not stingy with the bubbles. A lot of places give you a mimosa and then never come back to refill it or they are slow about it. The staff in the steakhouse (where breakfast was located) kept your glasses full.
