We decided to take advantage of the 25th Anniversary special and extend in Budapest so we would be there for our 45th Anniversary. The trip itself was great with enjoyable and informative included tours. Regensburg and Passau were living history sites. Tip #1Grab a Viking Umbrella if rain is coming-we had quite a bit those 2 days. Tip2 sign up for the micro brewery tour in Regensburg- lots of beer, food and info. The Gottwieg Abbey tour in Krems was better than expected. The evening Classical concert after arriving in Vienna was very enjoyable, just understandthat it's not a full orchestra but still reccomend. Vienna and Budapest were also great! Day 2 in Vienna our program director led a group onto the subway to show everyone the basics and we just took off and wandered on our own and eventually ate lunch at a small Cafe complete with Viennese coffees and a slice of Sacher Torte. We did the optional tours to Shoenbrun Palace and Budapest at night and both are worthwhile but if you only want to wander the gardensI suggest doing on your own since it's free. During our extension we bought day passes and just wandered on our own. The Budapest Hilton is really great and our Anniversary dinner at 21 was just around the corner and offered outstanding traditional Hungarian food.

Not many negatives just mostly about the included flights. Our flights over were changed a couple times thanks to United but the emergency contact line came thru with a fix that should have solved everything except weather delays caused a mad dash thru the airport at Dulles to catch our Lufthansa flight- not great for a bad knee and our luggage didn'tmake it. Last tip- don't just report it to someone on the ship, make sure they fill out the forms and then your clothes will be washed until your luggage arrives.
