I'd sailed on a Viking river cruise several years ago and was impressed with the quality of the Viking experience. The ocean ship, Jupiter, did not disappoint! The ship is beautiful and kept spotlessly clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly, all the way from the room stewards to the dining room servers to the bartenders and executive staff. The facilities on board are truly impressive, especially the gorgeous spa area, the two pools, and all the comfortable seating areas with stunning views. We enjoyed our lovely stateroom with a balcony that was well attended by our dedicated room steward.

The dining service was very impressive - gourmet menus every day with a variety of selections beautifully served. It was also nice to have the casual dining option available for breakfast and lunch with lots of fresh and healthy offerings.

The excursions that were included were very nice and well managed by the ship's staff as well as the on-shore local providers. The bar package was well worth the additional cost and offered a wide variety of wines (including a free wine tasting event) as well as spirits served by well trained and friendly bartenders.
