Panorama is a beautiful ship with so much to do. The shows on this cruise were far better than others I had seen on Carnival. I always say that NCL and Royal are the big leagues and Carnival is the minor leagues but on this cruise the entertainment was top notch. My favorite were the shows in the main theatre who nightly put on top notch performances - In addition the cruise director Chris (Flying Scotsman) is a showman himself which added to the fun. He is no longer on the Panorama.

Here are a couple of cons - the food was really bad. Guys Burgers and the Pizza place were the exception as they were always on point and terrific. But, I’ve never been on a ship with a buffet as bad as panorama. When I say bad, i say it’s almost not edible. This goes for every meal of the day. It’s bland, cold and the choices limited. An exception to this is the hot and cold sandwich station and the cakes and desserts which were both outstanding.

So you may expect a buffet to be bland but the main dining room was also the worst of any cruise I’ve ever been on (I’ve been on more than 20). What is also surprising is the steakhouse was also below standard. The Tapanyaki dinner was fun and very good.
