Viking Star Review

Excellent Staff and Excursions

Review for the Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

Originally booked in 2021. Rebooked due to Covid. The weather was perfect. No rain for entire voyage. The local Tour Guides were all excellent. Very knowledgable and articulate. Smooth sailing throughout.

Service on the ship was excellent and up to Viking standards. This was our first Ocean Cruise with Viking. We were concerned with the size of the ship since our previous cruises were long ships on the Rhine and Danube and the Mississippi. The ship did not feel big or crowded. We did not make any dinner reservations because we enjoy the food in the restaurant and not into the "speciality" dining. Our room was midship which was perfect for accessing the areas of the ship we need to access most.

Not as intimate as the long ships but understandable due to size. The airport is overwhelmed by the volume of tourists. Crowded gates, bus rides to planes, boarding was chaotic.
