I'm a fan of PBS and have seen Viking commercials for years. When the opportunity to take a cruise came up, I immediately decided to look into Viking cruises. The trip far exceeded my expectations and I have already started planning on my next river cruise.

The staff was extremely attentive, and I really liked that ships officers as well as staff were available throughout the day and evening. All of the meals were delicious and having both a standard (American choices) and regional menu was terrific. I chose regional dishes each day and wasn't disappointed.

The community areas were inviting with comfortable couches, chairs, etc allowing us to meet other passengers in a relaxed atmosphere along with multiple seating areas on the top of the ship for outdoor viewing. Read more
