We chose the Danube Waltz because the countries visited and the region were on our bucket list. The thing that stands out the most to me is the organization and seamless process Viking creates to make the journey so comfortable and stress free. From the color coded bag tags, to the Viking ambassadors that met us at our arrival airport to the departure transfers the stressful parts of the trip were eliminated completely. On top of that was the fantastic food, outstanding tour events and the staff that were truly the best we have encountered. The ship and our suite were perfect and we were pampered by our stewards every day. Even mechanical issues (they happen, it’s a ship) were dealt with with professionalism. We enjoyed the tour events and social gatherings and the friends we made. This is not our last Viking River cruise, perhaps the Elbe or Rhine will be next!
