Travelled with family to Alaska on RC. This was our first time cruising. We had a balcony which was great for viewing the scenery & wildlife. We had a soft drinks package & bought a few cocktails & some wine, which worked well for us. Paid for gratuities in advance, so we did not need to worry about tipping at the end.
Enjoyed the photographer on board & purchased a package.
The food was quite nice in all the restaurants on Ovation. There were lots of different options, so we did not go hungry ! We splurged on Chef's Table one evening, which was lovely.
The balcony was great ! Comfy bedding & a good shower. We had plenty storage (did not use the magnetic hooks that all the blogs suggest !) We had a few charging points for phones. Take your own hairdryer , though !
Our room was cleaned daily and we were delighted with the towel animals appearing regularly.
We were near the back of the ship, but experienced very little sensation of motion.
Great scenery. Early morning start and long ride on a small boat. Glacier was magnificent. Snacks available on the trip were poor.
Really busy. Lots of people in a small town. Trips from the kiosks were overpriced.
Great city. Lots to see & do. Friendly people.
Not enough time here to really explore. Enjoyed Fortress of the bear & raptor centre
Cute town. Visited Yukon from here.
