I was visiting the UK to wind up my business and to catch up with family and friends. This particular cruise fitted with my schedule. I chose Scenic because they seem to offer a more luxurious. However I had some difficulty in completing my booking online and had to use the help of Flight Centre to Complete the booking. Initially Scenic informed me that the disembarkation was on the 27th June at Amsterdam. After I had arranged my flights back from Amsterdam they informed that disembarkation was on the 26th. I found the Scenic office in Australia to be very Unhelpful. Despite repeated requests through my agent they would not give me information about the meeting point in Zurich or a contact telephone. This was a constant worry during my trip. Since I was in England I contacted their Office in Manchester and was able to get this information from them. I also found that the Scenic Australia office did not reply to my email or complaint.

WE were picked at Zurich airport as scheduled and driven to Basal were we boarded the ship. We welcomed by a friendly staff. The embarkation was efficient and quick and we were shown to our rooms. The room was comfortable, Spacious and well stocked with food and drinks.

The following day we were to sail to Strasbourg and were expect to reach there at 1:30pm. However it was a absolute disaster because to the queue of ships to pass through the locks. Scenic therefore diverted the buses to a earlier dock to take us on the arranged tours in and around Strasbourg. The ship was expected to reach Strasbourg at 6:30 pm just in time for us to return to the ship for dinner. After our tours we realized that it was not expected till late that night. Credit to Scenic they arranged dinner for 130 guest at short notice in a restaurant in Strasbourg. The food was passable. The final twist that day was as we were boarding the ship in in poor light one of the guest fell and injured his knee and had to be taken to hospital. Read more
