Sail Date: Jul 2023
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

We stayed in Manhattan for three nights prior to boarding the cruise. I found it difficult to find information on how to best get to the port, but definitely have a car service get you there. This was the fastest boarding we have had in 21 cruises, which was a really nice start to the cruise. Once on board we went to our room to drop off our carry on luggage, our room keys were on the door. Since we were in concierge we went to the main dining room for our lunch which was lovely, you avoid the busy buffet on the first day.

We had a very nice cruise, that being said this was our first time on a smaller Celebrity ship, we have done a few of the Solstice size ships and we've decide we much prefer that size.

Overall the food in the main dining room was good, we went to the Ocenview Cafe for breakfast and lunch and the buffet is spread out over the whole room, so you need to walk around the whole thing to see what they have. We haven't seen this type of layout on any other boat and not sure we like it.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Our cabin was really great. We loved the bathroom, best sink we have had yet. The shower could have been a couple of inches wider, but we understand that it is a retrofit from the space they had before. Storage for clothes was ok. The balcony was fine, you could see rust in some places.

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

We loved King's Warf, the port area is really nice. If you are planning on taking a shuttle to the beach, the vans line up as you leave the ship it is $7 per person to go to Horseshoe Bay, beautiful beach. There is an information centre in the port area where you can buy your tokens for the bus and ferries, you can use on both. There are also schedules posted. This area also has wifi. We did a morning in St. George took the ferry there, then took the bus to Hamilton and then took another Bus to Elbow beach. It no longer has facilities since the hotel closed there, we thought this was the best beach, calm no waves and the water was beautiful, could have stayed in it all day. Riding the buses, you pretty much get a tour of the island. Bermuda is very clean and safe.

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

This is a difficult port to get to and leave from if you are not driving. We took a car from our hotel in Manhattan to the port and were very grateful we decided to do that. Leaving from the port we were going to do a shared shuttle to Newark but no one else showed up so we took a taxi for $75 to the airport.
