We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the reputation of Celebrity. We arrived in Athens two days early, which was fortunate because our luggage didn’t show up for two days. Boarding was easy and efficient. We had arrived early at the port because that was when we were dropped off, but that did not present a problem. We left our bags (inside stateroom) and met our room steward, Roselle. She was attentive and available all week. Celebrity provided an extension cord and distilled water for my CPAP. The ship was in great condition, and I would not have noticed any “oldness” of the ship had others not brought it up. We enjoyed the smaller size of the ship.

Over all, the food was wonderful with amazing service, and plenty of choices. The dining room greeters were the best! We ate early, so they knew us by name and made us feel very welcome. MDR fish was unimpressive, but beef was great. Our waiters were friendly and helped with menu decisions. We loved all the fun starters and often couldn’t limit ourselves to one. Lunch in Oceanview had more offerings than one could eat. Good ice cream available almost all the time was a highlight.

We liked IBroadway and didn’t understand Broken Strings. I’m sure there was a plot there somewhere, but we missed it. We enjoyed the singer, Marty Thomas, immensely.
