Have been on Discovery 6 times now. After refurb cabins are looking good. Only one thing missing I would say and that was an extra little couch/chair. Crew as always were brilliant and so helpful. Our Cabin Steward Cyrus and his team were great and would wave from one end of corridor to the other!! A few hiccups, none of which bothered us at all. Bimini tender running aground, we were on first one out and back on ship by 1pm!! Felt for those left in baking sun for rest of day. Well, a little engine fire at 1.30am did have us thinking but when Captain told us at 2.30am that all was OK we went back to sleep. So, we had to return to Amber Cove but that was alright. Safety comes first!!!! Updates told us that we had to stay there till repairs were done and certified. Planes were being diverted to take us home from there. Compensation was to be given. May not get directly to home airport. All these things went very well for us. Our plane took us directly to Glasgow. We were compensated very well considering we only missed one destination. Only one drawback, we had a five hour coach journey to airport. All in all an excellent time was had by us, we saw New York, Miami and some Caribbean Islands along with good food and excellent entertainment. We will definitely be back on Marella Discovery, our compensation will be spent with the company that paid us.
