We enjoyed our cruise on Britannia. The dining room food was decent but a little repetitive. The buffet however was dreadful, the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Beating MSC which I never thought would be possible. Everything tasted bland and ultra-processed. I mean you have Indian chefs, why are the curries not cooked fresh? I'm pretty sure they use tinned curries. Finding fruit and vegetables became a treasure hunt. Every stall was a repeat of the one you have just seen. Mix it up! give us more choices and use fresher, better quality ingredients. Other budget cruise lines do much better buffet food!

The entertainment was good. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. The ship was very clean and easy to board and depart. Decor was nice but lacked a bit of imagination and colour. An indoor pool would have been nice with more hot tubs available. The ship design is very strange at times with no wrap-around deck to walk around.

A pretty average ship but very much enjoyed it due to the destinations.

Cabin Review

Nice indoor cabin, clean and a good bed. The wet room was a good size but needs a higher shower chair. No electric door to the cabin was a disappointment, not sure why this is when other P&O ships do have this feature.

Port Reviews

Alesund

Great little port right next to the city, easy to travel from.
