We are frequent cruisers in our 50’s and are happy to report that our experience on the Sunrise was a good one! We had a balcony. We enjoyed the location, a few stairs from the promenade with lots of fun located there! We were only 3 floors below the Lido deck as well. The room had more storage and shelving than we could use and our attendant Johnny was outstanding. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary onboard and Johnny did the room up right! (I surprised my wife with the anniversary package and it did not disappoint)

We are experienced cruisers and after reading the reviews we planned ways to get around long lineups for various venues, especially the buffet! We did Faster 2 the Fun which helped us get on board early! Even so the buffet was busy and we immediately chose to go to the Blue Iguana Cantina for tacos. No line up! We then walked through the buffet to the very back of the ship outside with a view out the back windows. It was quiet there and a perfect spot for our first meal. We also noticed that the pasta station above the buffet was quiet and easy to get a good meal with not much wait.

When we did breakfast (one in the dining room) we went to the Omelette station at the back of the ship by the tides pool. Nobody knows it’s there! The other two omelette stations had long lines in the buffet but not here. Handy tip!

Cabin Review

Balcony. Very good room! Deck 6 mid.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

It was our anniversary so we booked the “Hummer” island tour. Very fun and informative. We really enjoyed it. Walked the beach a bit but the part we were at was rocky. That was fine since we got too much sun the day prior.

Half Moon Cay

By far the most beautiful private island we have been on. Long sandy beach which helped spread everyone out. Lots of loungers and clamshells. Buffet lunch was great! We did the jet ski excursion and had a blast! So fun. The scenery is fantastic, as is the water which is some of the clearest we have ever seen.
