I had never experienced this part of Europe, and I wanted to know more about the history and the people. My brother and sister-in-law invited me to join them on this adventure. The Program Director was very knowledgeable and communicated well. His concern for each of us was apparent. Michal related historical events and people that had influenced the growth and development of the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria. I was especially impressed with our tour of Nuremberg. I learned to understand the mindset of the common people who were looking for the strong leader they found in Hitler. The courtroom scene and the decisions about those criminals was enlightening. I also enjoyed walking through several cities and hearing about their rebuilding after World War II devastation. Even though we had to disembark the ship in Regensburg because of low water in the Danube, we were all transported in luxury buses to Vienna and cared for along the way.
Excellent space and appropriate housekeeping. Quiet at night. Close to the dining hall.
