This was my 4th Viking cruise, and my 3rd river cruise. My first cruise was the Rhine Getaway 2016-09-25 on the Viking Lofn. This time, I traveled with a friend who was going on her first cruise and wanted to do the Rhine Getaway so, figuring that I likely missed a lot the first time, I did this cruise again. And it was so much better than the first time! No doubt that was partly due to my awareness of the cruise experience. I loved everything about this cruise except that I had to disembark after only 7 days. While I enjoyed the post-excursion in Amsterdam, I would have loved to stay on the Rolf and go back to Basel. Our Program Director, Renee, was amazing; she always made sure we knew where we were supposed to be. The entire staff on the Rolf was phenomenal; they made the cruise so much more fun by becoming part of our experience. Every member of the crew was friendly and accommodating. And our waiters knew us by name on the 2nd day! I wholeheartedly recommend this cruise and this crew to any traveler.
