We chose this tour because Avalon Waterways waived the vaccine requirement in November 2023 and we wanted to cruise the Rhine for the first time. One of our party of four did not get the covid vaccine. The cruise was wonderful. The staff was exceptional and completely met our needs. The food was great and featured many local cuisine specialties that we enjoyed. The free happy hour every day before dinner was a nice perk. The tours were excellent. We only took one optional tour to go wine tasting in the Strasburg countryside. The little village and drive through the countryside was perfect . All the included tours were great and offered enough choices everyday at each port we visited that would satisfy any traveler. The ports of call were just what we expected. All the tour guides were exceptional. We would recommend Avalon Waterways whole heartedly to everyone and we would definitely travel with Avalon again.
