My family was looking for a good cruise line to take on a trip to Alaska and decided to use princess cruise line. My disappointment with this cruiseline began day one of our 7 day cruise. My boyfriend has a pacemaker, he can not have any magnetic or electromagnetic interference with his device. We went through security to get on the ship no problem, when boarding we were given a lanyard with a princess medalion, we were just told this opens up you room and will be scanned when boarding and off boarding the ship. We found out this device is a magnet. There was no warning, no information about this being a magnetic device. This could have stopped his pacemaker from working or drained his battery. This is so serious it could have put him in the hospital. Then following this we got locked out of one of our cabins because the door battery died. We had to wait for guest services to come unlock the door. The ship itself was pretty, we had placed a booking for a ajoining balcony rooms and discovered that we were given rooms next to each other that were not ajoining. The crew was nice, but there was mistake after mistake made with the ship technology. Experienced multiple room service orders sent to the wrong room for items we paid for, and ultimately had to visit guest services around 6-8 separate times. Wifi plan was purchased and consitantly had issues with connectivity. We were unable to make reservations through the app and had to physically go to the dining room to get assistance. My final complaint is the off boarding experience and port in Victoria at our first stop and last stop in juneau and then Victoria Canada, there was no organization and it was complete chaos, it took nearly an hour and a half to get off the ship, so many people missed their excursions and there was a line of people wrapped around the entire 6th floor of the ship through both the entire casino and dining room. The stop the ship made in Victoria, Canada was a joke we came into Port around 8:30pm and did not get off ship until 9pm with only 3 hours to do absolutely nothing. Everything was closed, there was one open gift shop at the Port that was so tiny and full you couldn't even move around. There were shuttle busses to take you in to town but again almost everything was closed, extreamly poorly planned and disappointing. On the positive side We did have an amazing room attendant Made, and our dinning waitress Vanessa was kind, wonderful, and amazing during our stay. The shops were nice, and the ship itself was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately Aside from the cruise Locations in Alaska and these crew members. Our time with princess was not great I would not recommend using them for future cruises until they address all of these issues to make this a better experience for future customers.

Cabin Review

Clean, original told we had ajoining rooms but did not. Got locked out of our cabin first night. We did have a great room attendant Made, and the room was always tidy and clean.
