After 30+ cruises on most of the mainstream cruise lines, we recently tried a MSC Cruise. We had taken a family cruise on Royal Caribbean the previous Summer - parents, kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends, and it was very nice. We were chagrined to discover that the price for the same cruise this year had doubled, so we decided to give this ship a try. They have been sailing in Europe for a long time and in the last few years have been going for the American market. Being a European company, they do some things differently. Here are some things we noted on our seven-day trip on the MSC Seaside out of Port Canaveral.

Things they do better than most other lines:

1. Price. This cruise was MUCH cheaper than any similar cruise on the lines sailing from Canaveral (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney).
