Sail Date: Jun 2023

We had previously sailed with Viking and liked the atmosphere. Adults only, smaller number of passengers, great Customer Service, no art auctions or casinos, no loud parties on deck, and enjoyable Ports of Call. We also really enjoyed the Thermal Spa, which is included in the prices of the Cruise, and went almost every day. We did spring for 2 massages, which were wonderful and did not include the therapist trying to sell us products we'd never use.

While there are a couple of premium restaurants on the ship, we typically ate in either The Restaurant or the World Cafe. Unfortunately, The Restaurant is only open for lunch when the ship is at sea and our cruise had no at sea days. The same is true for the few shops on the ship. However, the food in the World Cafe is usually the same menu as the main restaurant, just without the table service.

Customer Service was exemplary. Our Cabin Steward was amazing and customized our mini fridge with just the items that we wanted. All staff were friendly and eager to help. We never passed a crew member without being recognized/greeted.

Cabin Review

As this was a longer than normal cruise for us (12 days), and we were celebrating our 40th anniversary, we upgraded our cabin to the Penthouse Veranda. Very spacious. The Cabin had a King bed, a real dresser, adequate storage, heated floors in the bathroom, a sofa, chair & desk.
