I grew up by the sea and have always had a deep seated love of it and a desire to travel on it. The best so far has been sea kayaking in Australia and sailing on some small yachts in the Carribean.
I have never cruised before because my wife has always been terrified of sailing. She has been badly seasick on a Channel Ferry Crossing before we met.

The company had an excellent reputation, the ship was only a few months old and looks pristine and it had all the latest high tech equipment to keep the ship smooth in even rough seas.
