I hate large cruise ships with thousands of people on board as I hate crowds. Therefore we chose the 8 day Scenic Cruise Rhine Highlights to see if we did enjoy cruising. The ships itself was pure luxury, the staff were so friendly and experienced where nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was fantastic and as I am 'gluten free' they went out of their way to make sure I made the right choices for meals and made me feel very relaxed, whereas in most restaurants I have to guess which meals are in fact gluten free. The wine was all local to the area we visited to match the meals and excellent quality. All of the on shore excursions were excellent particularly the Black Forest excursion and the Scenic Enrich concert. We will certainly be booking another Scenic Space Ship trip in the future. Scenic are certainly the cruise company and ships that we prefer, i.e., 120 guests and 60 staff to pamper us.

We were surprised and delighted with all the amenities in our cabin and also the service provided.

We were late booking and the only excursion was the canal cruise which was great
Baden Baden
Absolutely loved this city. The town was beautiful and the Roman Baths were great
Cologne
We didn't really want another walking tour but because we booked late we were stuck with the walking tour. The church and town was interesting.
Rastatt
Really enjoyed the Enrichment concert at the palace - it was amazing- much better than we anticipated.
Strasbourg
We chose the Black Forest excursion. It was absolutely excellent exploring the little village, watching the Black Forest Cherry Cake demonstration. I enjoyed this excursion the best of all the tours.
