Sail Date: Jun 2023

We booked this in 2019 just before the pandemic as a retirement gift to ourselves. It was worth the wait. The focus on the river cruises is on the places you’re visiting, not what’s going on with the ship. The Viking Staff made the trip extraordinary. They were attentive, friendly, positive, and helpful. We booked one, two, and sometimes three shore excursions each day so we were always on the go. The boat was spotless and accommodations comfortable. Everything was meticulously planned and organized and you could do as much or as little as you want. And the scenery? Well… that’s why we went. The only thing that I could recommend for improvement was more varied breakfast choices and bar snacks… which is being very picky of me. One other note, the rivers were a bit high I believe, so for about half the cruise the upper sun deck and walking track were closed so we could fit under bridges. A special shout out to Marie, Miodrag, and Vojtech… you know who you are… thank you for an amazing trip! Overall we’d give the experience more than 5 stars if we could.

Cabin Review

We had a Veranda cabin with the balcony. It was quite comfortable and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi was a bit spotty if we were underway. A decent amount of closet space and storage for a 2-week trip.
