We chose Viking as it had good itineraries, and was supposedly to be the top of the class in river cruising, , and although we have done many ocean cruises, this was our first river cruise.

The good points -

- the itinerary we chose was a 7 night cruise departing Regensburg in Germany to Budapest in Hungary, including Passau, Krems, and Vienna, along the River Danube, the destinations were delightful, the first few very interesting, pretty, scenic places, Vienna and Budapest wonderful cities. Read more
