Ship was nice. Good layout. Food was good. Bar service was good except for 15th back outside deck. Entertainment was so so. Wifi was TERRIBLE. TV reception was awful. We had a few issues that went unresolved. First we were woken up by maint. workers banging on a pipe before 8a several mornings. I called to complain and guest services said it wasn’t happening. I said come to my room and hear for yourself. They didn’t. I went to the front desk and played a video with audio and told them exactly where the guy was doing it. They said they would look into it and have a supervisor get back to me. Never happened. Next, and this was huge, we got flagged trying to get off the ship saying we owed money. Both of us actually had large credits. I waited almost an hour in line (only 3 people working desk on morning of debarkation was ridiculous) to find out what happened. All of our charges showed up on my companion’s account so he owed money and I had a HUGE credit. Why? I have no freakin’ idea. I swiped MY card for most of them. I checked the kiosk daily and paid in cash what I charged so my balance was always zero or I had a credit. He checked his balance daily and always had a credit. We checked the night before debarkation and both of us still had a credit. We never received any kind of paper statement. The next thing we know, as we tried to leave, all charges went on his account at the last minute and all the money I put into the kiosk to pay off MY charges that showed up on MY account during the cruise just showed up as a credit. Straitening this out, because I waited over an hour in line, caused us to miss our shuttle out of the port. I called MSC to get my $33 shuttle payment reimbursed and they said too bad. It’s not their policy. I paid more than $5000 for both of us for this cruise and they wouldn’t even reimburse $33 for THEIR mistake is beyond maddening. Everyone else we spoke to in the cruise also complained the cruise line’s answer to any issue was always no. That’s fine. I’ll stick with Carnival where we have had great experiences.
