I chose the cruise because my previous Oceania experiences on Marina and Riviera were outstanding. Although I knew Regatta was smaller, the room and veranda were fine and the cabin team was top notch. Storage and decor were great - others have noted the small bath so that was expected. Note upgrades do not mean larger rooms. It’s true that the beds which are insanely comfortable are about 2 inches too low for easy standard suitcase storage without lifting the frame. It was the public areas which seemed small and dark-perhaps because it was too cool for the terrace and pool area to be used.
The food no longer seems to be the “finest cuisine at sea” although there were some very good options. The odd thing was the very stale breads and poor desserts! The buffet was generally unappealing and mediocre so we used the MDR. Staff there were excellent. Again, the Terrace Grill also suffered since the unusable outside areas meant it was overcrowded frequently. Buffet serving staff were similar to a school cafeteria.
Oceania should have corrected all of its outdated IT during the Covid downtime. No app, no electronic signage and still terrible excursion departure process. These small ships use out of the way docks so tendering is still an ordeal and shuttle vouchers should have been provided for the cost of this cruise.
