We were in a mini suite on Dolphin deck …we had water ingress through the balcony after rain but Mr Fixit came with his trolley and repairs were done asap . Well done! Our stateroom steward Romella was delightful ….our room was attended to while we were at breakfast without fail ! The bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. Lots of storage and hanging space and the bathroom was quite spacious really . I do wonder though how people with mobility difficulty manage the shower as it is over quite a high bathtub!

Meals in the Bordeaux dining room were quite good but did seem to improve once the World Cruise began in Auckland. My favourite French onion soup finally appeared as a “ favourite “ then as did the New York cheesecake! We reserved a table for the same time each night so had the same waiters for the duration of the cruise. Antonio and Jonny were very attentive and soon got to know our preferences. They really enhanced our dining experience. Well done to these two gentlemen .We had breakfast at the Horizon buffet and there were plenty of choices . The choices at lunchtime were also good. The calamari was great ! Salads were always plentiful. Sometimes we actually skipped lunch after a late breakfast and had a soft serve ice cream at the bar near the Lotus Pool instead. On two occasions we went to Sabatinis for specialty pizzas for lunch. The pizzas were exceptional . At 4:30pm Elite and Platinum passengers could go to the Explorers Lounge for a snack from a beautifully prepared buffet . With our cocktail from our drinks package we limited ourselves to nuts, cheeses and crackers so as not to spoil our dinner ! On a couple of occasions after a shore excursion we had hot scones with jam and cream with a cappuccino at Horizon after 3 pm. The shore excursions we chose were all very good and met our expectations. We choose Princess excursions as we know we will be looked after and will get back to the ship in time. On previous cruises we have seen accidents occur on excursions and people have been taken care of. We are active and in our seventies , but you never know what can happen in the next five minutes.! Entertainment was probably not as good as pre Covid cruises but things take time to get back to what they were. Time for some new production shows to get underway too! The weather was great…no rain in any of the ports although there were a couple of wet sea days and the seas were flat the whole time. All in all we had a very enjoyable cruise and thank the captain and crew !

Cabin Review

Spacious mini suite…new couch and cushions …two flat screen TVs ..plenty of hanging storage , drawers, cupboard with safe. Only drawback would be the shower over the bathtub .
