We chose Viking because many of our friends had done their river cruises before and loved them. We chose this cruise because we had always wanted to visit Budapest, Vienna and (especially) Prague. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived in Prague, Viking staff took care of everything. An incredible, well-oiled machine.

The boat itself was wonderful, and once again, the Viking crew were fantastic. Everything we needed was provided, the food was wonderful (and plentiful) and we made some great new friendships along the way. Cabins are spacious enough for the time you need to be in them, and we barely knew we were moving (in case anyone is concerned about motion sickness - don't be).

Customer service was outstanding, and believe me, we tested it . . . . First, I dropped a credit card in a tourist office and our Viking Program Director walked all the way into town and back to retrieve it and return it to me before I even knew it was lost. Second, we managed to miss the ship's departure in Bratislava (pro tip - read the daily bulletins left in your cabin every evening. It contains useful info like departure times . . . .). The Viking staff texted us very precise information on how to catch a train to Budapest, and also made arrangements for us to wait for our ship's arrival in Budapest on board another Viking boat that was already in dock.
