Windmills at Kinderdijk, Holland.
Having a "smoke beer" in Bamburg. You might like it, you might hate it. One was enough!
Having a quiet coffee in Wertheim.

This cruise had been postponed since 2020 and it was worth waiting for. The Grand European Tour took my wife and I from Budapest to Amsterdam and along the way we saw many beautiful towns, cities and castles galore. We also made some very nice new friends--a result of "no-fixed seating" in the dining room--whom we have kept in touch with and will be visiting in the near future.

The food on the ship was excellent: the portions weren't huge but were satisfying. If you wanted more, you would just have to ask and it will be provided (a friend often asked for 2 main courses). Menu selections were very good with a "fallback" standard menu if the regional choices didn't suit your taste. Of course, beer, wine and soft drinks were provided at no charge at meal times.

Entertainment on board was minimal with most evenings being a singer at the piano. There were 3 other evenings comprising a folk group, glass blowing demonstration, and a classical evening with violin and piano--all of them excellent.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

A bit tight but it was spotless and cleaned to perfection every day.
