We chose this cruise as a retirement trip as we have always wanted to visit Alaska. The 2-for-1 was attractive to us. We upgraded our beverage package to premium plus, and we paid an extra fee for priority boarding which was to assist with embarkation and disembarkation along with free breakfast room service each morning, $50 toward spa (special services only). The package included RT airfare, pre cruise one night’s stay at the Westin Seattle, and transportation transfers to and from the airport.
Embarkation was good, with the exception of being squeezed into a too small meeting room until priority boarding was called. Embarkation was shortened and the line moved quickly. Keycards we’re provided. Very friendly team here too.
Rooms were still being prepared so we decided to have a cocktail. Sales tax was added on per drink unbeknownst to us until we viewed our statement. Taxes are added to drinks whenever your within a certain distance from a port, as we learned later. We were charged for a bottle of wine consumed at one of the dinning rooms; brought it to Guest Services attention whereby my husband was told it would be investigated. Three days later, it was still on our invoice. We went back to Guest Services where a team member followed up and resolved the charge for us herself.
Club balcony suite is worth the extra cost. Roomy for two people. It was a quiet retreat from the crowds most of the time. The bathroom has dual sinks, superb showers, and the towels were thick. Unfortunately, there were teenagers next door and kids above us that were running and jumping. There was a lot of thumping and heavy footfalls. Reported no it stopped for a couple of days. Linens fabulous!
The only way to view this natural wonder!
Red Dog Saloon. Fun place.
Fun and interesting. Loved the White Pass Railway excursion. Must see! Beautiful!
