I wanted a cruise that went to Glacier Bay and multiple ports. This was an eleven night cruise which gave us plenty of time to explore the ports and relax on the ship. The crew were friendly and I liked the entertainment staff. This is an older ship that does not have many bells and whistles and it seemed to attract an older crowd. It is a small ship and that made it easy to get off and on at ports.
My only criticism would be the buffet, it is a confusing layout until you get used to it and the selections are very limited. I never ate anything from the buffet except for the ice cream and a few desserts. My son liked some of the food but I didn't find anything appealing.
After the first day we found out that we could go out the back doors of the buffet and there was an outdoor buffet that served breakfast, grilled items and afternoon snacks. There was a soft serve ice cream station in the outdoor buffet that never had a line. They have ramen and pizza for lunch in Modernos and that was never busy. The sports bar at night was super crowded but worth the effort because they have amazing food.
We were on deck 6A which is a well kept secret. I loved our cabin. These are older cabins but storage is great and the beds were comfy. We had them separated into twins which made the space seem larger. The older showers are not the best but there was plenty of hot water and pressure. The water on ship is very drying so be sure to take your own hair and body products along with lotion. They do provide a generic all in one wash.
