We’ve been loyal to another cruise line for 29 years but thought we’d try something different. What a mistake! The entire process, from booking to disembarkation, was a disaster. We booked air through Norwegian thinking that would work with the scheduled sailing. That was another mistake. Our flight arrived at JFK at 0730. At that time, we were told that ground transportation didn’t start operating until 1000. Sitting at the airport for 2 and a half hours certainly didn’t start the vacation off well. Once we arrived at the pier, the checkin process was terrible. Long lines waiting, even though we had to give the cruise line a time we would be there. No one even checked on that! After much walking/standing, we finally were on the ship only to be told cabins weren’t ready yet. This was about 1300. After several more hours standing/walking around, we were finally able to get to our cabin about 1630. At least our luggage was there when we arrived. The cabin was not nearly as large as we expected from the pictures but it was a decent size for 2. Layout of the cabin was a bit awkward. Our cabin steward was very friendly and did an adequate job, even though cabins are only serviced one a day. Food again was adequate but nothing exciting. Menus options were limited and we found it impossible to reserve any of the ‘specialty’ restaurants after the first day of the cruise even though we started checking a few months out. Crew was very friendly but the officers usually didn’t even acknowledge you in passing. We also changed our return flight at our own expense. We were told to clear our cabin by 0900. Our flight was scheduled for 2200 so we would have had even more hours to sit in the airport. We booked an earlier flight so we only had to wait 5 hours before boarding our flight. The disembarkation process was as poorly coordinated as the embarkation process. Obviously, this will be our last cruise with Norwegian.

Many of the businesses have apparently closed due to covid. We were still able to visit the Bermuda Fudge Shop.
