My wife has cruised MSC before and she wanted me to experience cruising as well. We are elderly but newly married. The restaurant services were amazing. Incredible service there and hope to enjoy this service on some of the other MSC ships in the future. In fact we are going to Europe this fall on MSC.

There have been some challenges but most can be overcome. We were sold on the idea of the cute wristbands to ease our stay on board. Only then we discovered that Bingo did not accept the wristbands for transactions, and to our aggravation, one of the two wristbands did not work for half of the voyage. To be fair, I went back three times and was told it was ok. Well, finally they decided it was not working and issued a new one. It did work.

Most of the excursions we enjoyed very much and they were all they were advertised on the Destination Guide. EXCEPT, the Ocean Cay Bahama Breeze Escape. We had chosen the excursion because of specific benefits, sailing to a small remote Island Beach and being able to sit on the beach in chairs under an umbrella which were to be provided. For two old people this sounded idealic and heavenly. Alas, no umbrellas, no chairs. When we asked the captain of the catamaran about them, he laughed and said, "the seats on the boat are the chairs and the cover on board is the umbrella!" It was not as advertised. We requested a refund. Customer service said it was an error in the advertisement. And offered 20% refund. We took the excursion based on advertisement and would not have otherwise!
