We are experienced cruisers. We chose this cruise because we wanted to see as much of Hawaii as possible. We thought that the 50th state would be the star and had read other reviews downplaying the ship and her crew and services, wow were they wrong. We found the ship to be in great shape, new carpeting , fresh paint, comfortable bedding, very strong shower. The food was all good. Not a single complaint with the food in the restaurants we visited which were, the buffet, liberty, skyline, Cagney, Brazilian, Cadillac. A friend traveling with us had one complaint which was that the fresh fruit wasn’t ripe. The mostly American staff was a delight and very Attentive and helpful. The ports of call were extraordinary and beautiful. The 50th state was a star, but I’ll say that the Pride of America was the co-star. We would book this cruise again. I’m not sure why other reviews were so negative our experience was great!
